Setup / Pack Up Team Member

Purpose:

Setup - Preparing a space with excellence where people can come and experience the presence of God.

 

Pack up - Enable others to connect after the service - especially with new people. Stewardship of our church's property. Be a blessing to the church and the other hall users by leaving the space better than how we found it.

 

Role: Setup Team Member

 

Brief Role Description: Help the setup team to finish well.

 

Sunset Period: 12 months

Every role has what we call a"sunset period". It’s the time frame we ask people to commit for. At the end of the sunset period you can choose to continue or finish volunteering in this role or try something different. If you need to change before the end of the sunset period, speak to your Team Leader.

How to be a great volunteer:

Follow the lead of your Team Leader, they’re here to guide you.

Engage with Elvanto to stay up to date with your roster.

Do what you say you’re going to do (be reliable and punctual).

 

Tasks:

Enact the setup team procedure as directed by the team leader

  • Setting up stage area (including all cables, speakers, instruments etc)
  • Setting up the main hall (including chairs, coffee carts etc)
  • Setting up kids room (including tables & creche area etc)
  • Preparing outdoor cafe gear ready for the morning
  • Presentation (covering cupboards, design team touches etc)

 

A setup team member:

  • Is flexible and willing to change
  • Is physically able
  • Stays focussed
  • Listens to the team leader
